Seabourn Cruise Line
Seabourn's small luxury ships attract sophisticated, well-travelled passengers who are used to a high level of service and elegant surroundings. Like most small luxury lines, passengers are older and enjoy the ambience of a small ship. Seabourn is a small ship luxury cruise line that caters to those expecting a high level of quality and service in a yacht-like atmosphere. The small ships are elegant, not glitzy and do not require a high level of energy. You won't find a lot of onboard activities or Las Vegas-style entertainment. Life onboard is relaxing and perfect for those seeking privacy. The cruises are expensive, so your fellow passengers will probably be wealthy and well-travelled. Seabourn is owned by Carnival Cruises, but the two cruise lines offer distinctively different cruise experiences to distinctively different clientele. Seabourn's three ships sail the world, visiting hundreds of ports and offering exciting, interesting shore excursions. These highly-rated small luxury ships specialize in extraordinary, personalized service.
Hapag-Lloyd is a German company operating a Greek cruise line that markets some of its cruises to English-speaking passengers. Hapag-Lloyd operates the Europa, Hanseatic, Bremen, and Columbus cruise ships. The Hanseatic is a small luxury ship under long term lease to the German cruise company Hapag-Lloyd Cruises. Interestingly, its small size and ice-reinforced hull allow the ship to explore the polar regions of the Arctic and Antarctic, providing a perfect mixture of adventure and luxury for its 184 passengers. Environmental protection is a keynote of Hapag-Lloyd's corporate philosophy. Their environmental protection guide-lines formulated at the beginning of 1996 document their commitment to the cause of environmental protection and the standards we expect to be upheld by all of their employees.

Louis started operating short cruises out of Limassol, Cyprus to the Eastern Mediterranean from the 80's, a programme that is still in force. Over the years it has evolved and expanded its cruise programmes. I suppose you could say it truly is a Greek cruise line. Today with a fleet of 13 cruise ships the company also operates cruises from the ports of Genoa and Marseilles to the West Mediterranean, North Africa as well as to the Eastern Mediterranean. From the port of Piraeus, Louis Hellenic Cruises sails to the Aegean islands and the East Mediterranean. Louis Hellenic cruises was founded in 2004 and led to the revival of the Greek Cruise Line Industry. Four of the cruise ships, namely 'M/V Thomson Destiny', 'M/V Thomson Spirit', S/S The Emerald and 'M/V The Calypso' are chartered to Thomson Cruises of TUI Travel plc. who offer Greek cruise line cruises to the UK market. Its strategic alliances with the leading Tour Operators have significantly strengthened the position of Louis Cruise Lines, as a leading player in European Cruising. All ships are refurbished and upgraded continuously to mantain the highest standards of quality and service. The high standard of services offered attracts governments and international organizations to use the ships as floating hotels for major international events. For example, Louis ships were used for high profile events such as Head of States, G8 meeting, the International Exhibition in Lisbon and the NATO conference in Naples.

Silversea Cruise Line
Silversea passengers are from around the world, with about half from the United States, one fourth from other English-speaking countries, and one fourth from elsewhere. Most passengers are well-traveled, interesting, and outgoing, and many are repeat Silversea cruisers. Although many passengers are over 50, there always seems to be a few young professionals on board. The Silversea cruise ships are small, ultra-luxury, elegant and sophisticated. However, the atmosphere is relaxed and congenial and the staff really seem to love their jobs. The all-inclusive nature, personalized service, and luxurious surroudings are so low-key that it often seems you are sailing on your own personal voyage (with a few hundred friends). N.B. Whilst several Silversea Cruises leave the Greek port of Piraeus to other destinations none actually sail the islands.
