Fourni Islands
Think the fish and you’ve found the Fourni islands. A pair of rocky islands dangling south of Ikaria, this unlikely getaway provides fish for Athenians and lulls its foreign visitors into a quiet cocoon of relaxation and rest.
Agios Efstratios
Arguably the remotest island of the Aegean and the hardest to get to, Agios Efstratios doesn’t boast its wares, but is quietly how the in its self sufficiency and isolation. Beaches, walking, sleeping and eating all about all you will need.
Arki & Marathi
With no cars, police for post office, there’s little to trouble you on the little islands of Arki and Marathi in the north Dodecanese. Yachties may drop in a location only, but visitors are few and very low key.

Home to shipping barons And quiet discrete sorts who are well heeled, Inousses is alternative with a capital A. Swim, eight and sleep and do little else. You will be in opulent company at least.

A pristine speck in the sea well out of the way, Psara is for latter day Robinson Crusoe’s. it is a remote, it’s basic but it’s essential island hopping if you really want that well-away-from –the-mainstream feel.
